WhatsApp beta for Android 2.21.17.5: what’s new?
WhatsApp has submitted a new update through the Google Play Beta Program, bringing the version up to 2.21.17.5. But what features has WhatsApp added in this update?
According to WABetainfo, a website that tracks WhatsApp updates, WhatsApp is working on something about status updates, for a future update: the possibility to view status updates tapping the profile picture!

As you can see in the below image/screenshot, When you tap the profile picture, WhatsApp will present an alert asking if you want to view the status update or the profile picture, so something very similar to Twitter Fleets.
